Thrill Hill Waterslides

Old-school thrills, cool new memories

Since 1979, Thrill Hill Waterslides in Woombye has been delivering splash-tastic fun to families across the Sunshine Coast. Just 2km north of the Big Pineapple, it remains the region’s only dedicated waterslide park—an old-school favourite that continues to delight a new generation of thrillseekers.

“We call it the best value 50 minutes of fun on the Coast,” says owner Richard Law. “And judging by how many people come back year after year, we must be doing something right.”

At the heart of the park is a 120-metre dynamic hydro slipslide, designed for maximum exhilaration with minimum risk. “It’s exciting, but also safe,” says Richard. “The pool is only 900mm deep—so no swimming experience is needed. Everyone just slides in, laughs, and lines up again.”

Thrill Hill is open to all ages, with children as young as three able to join in the fun when sliding with an adult. “We’ve seen grandparents and toddlers having a blast together,” Richard says. “That’s what we love—people making shared memories and coming away feeling happy, refreshed, and energised.”

The park has become a much-loved destination for birthday parties, family outings and summer get-togethers. With picnic tables, shaded areas, and plenty of space to relax between slides, it’s easy to spend a few hours enjoying the laid-back vibe.

“We might be a little retro, but that’s part of the charm,” says Richard. “There’s no flashing lights or high-tech gadgets—just gravity, water, and pure fun.”

So if you’re after a screen-free adventure that the whole family will rave about, make your way to Thrill Hill.

Open weekends, most public holidays and all school holidays from 10am.
